In short

  • Setup has four steps: Your company, Signals, Connect and preview and Launch.
  • The preview is a real scan from your own LinkedIn account, about two minutes. You pay after it, not before.
  • Nothing is sent from Setup, and it keeps your place if you close the tab.

01Your company

Sign in with Google, type your website and press Read it. FOUND reads the site and writes a short brief: what you sell, what it solves, who buys it, and how the agent should talk. Most people change a line or two. Every message the agent writes starts from this brief, so it's worth a minute.

Some sites are JavaScript-only, thin, or block readers. Then the fields stay empty and Setup says so: it never guesses what you sell. The company and what you sell are enough to start.

Two choices here change every message:

  • Goal: Start conversations, or Book demos if you want every message to aim for a short call.
  • Tone: Professional, Conversational or Direct.

Press That is us. Next, signals when the brief reads right.

02Signals

From your site, Setup suggests what the agent should watch. Keep, drop or add:

  • Keywords: people who post or comment about these.
  • A customer to look like: paste one good customer, and it finds people in the same seat.
  • Competitors: people who engage with these companies' posts.

An agent needs at least four signals and takes up to fifteen. Each competitor is matched to its LinkedIn company page in the next step: pick This one, or None of these. Drop it. A name without a page watches nobody. How signals work covers every kind.

03Connect LinkedIn

The scan runs from your own account, so LinkedIn comes first. You connect it on FOUND's own page:

  1. Your LinkedIn email and LinkedIn password, then Continue.
  2. Your Sign-in country: where you usually sign in. Your account gets a dedicated address in that country, so a new session looks familiar rather than suspicious.
  3. If LinkedIn asks, the code it sent to your email or phone, or approve the sign-in in LinkedIn's app.

Your password passes through our server once, straight to our LinkedIn connection provider, and is never stored or logged.

04Run the preview

Under Run the preview, press Find five people. It's a real scan from your account, about two minutes, and it reads from today's budget, so it may come back with fewer than five people. That is information about your buyer, not a fault.

People appear as they pass your buyer. Each has a fit number from 0 to 1 (anything over 0.5 is worth writing to) and a sentence saying why they're there. Below them is the first message the agent would send the top one, written from that sentence and your brief.

Nobody passed? The signal was read and the people on it didn't match the titles you asked for. The usual fix is a wider buyer or a sharper signal. See Results too low?

05Pay, or save it for later

The price sits beside the people. Start the agent opens checkout. Or press Not now, just save it: your brief and signals are kept, and nothing runs until the agent is on.

Either way, nothing is sent before day three: a new LinkedIn connection only reads for its first 48 hours.

06Your first week

After you pay, Launch shows the first week day by day and your sending window.

  • Today: sourcing starts. First leads within the hour, then every six hours, on the Leads screen with a reason each. Nothing is sent.
  • Tomorrow: more leads, still nothing sent. LinkedIn watches a newly connected account closely.
  • Day three: the first invitations. A few, no notes, at least 90 seconds apart, inside your window, highest fit first.
  • After that: people accept over two to four days, and the first message goes the day after someone does.
