The best LinkedIn prospecting tools in 2026, grouped by job
LinkedIn prospecting tools do one of four jobs: search a database, watch for buying signals, run sequences, or extract data. The best one for you is the one that does the job you are missing; here are 14, grouped by job, with prices checked on 18 Oct 2026.
On this page 10 sections
Prospecting on LinkedIn comes down to two questions: whom to contact, and how to reach them without spending every morning on it. Tools answer the first in three different ways, from a database you search, from signals that someone is showing need, or from data you extract yourself, and answer the second with sequences.
So this list groups 14 tools by the job each one does, with the price its own site showed on 18 Oct 2026 and a plain "pick it if" for every one.
The short answer
If you don't know whom to contact yet, start with a search and data tool. If you want the people already showing need, found for you, start with a buying-signal tool. If you already have your list, a sequencer sends it. If you want raw data to build your own flow, an extraction tool. Several do more than one job; each tool below sits under the one it is built around.
| The job | Tools on this list |
|---|---|
| Search and data | Apollo, Clay, lemlist, Skylead |
| Buying signals | FOUND, Teamfluence, Valley |
| Sequences | Waalaxy, Dripify, Expandi, HeyReach, Linked Helper, La Growth Machine |
| Data extraction | PhantomBuster |
The four jobs
- Search and data. Filter a database by title, industry and company size, find emails and phones, and export or sequence the list. Good for reach; it tells you who fits, not who is paying attention this week.
- Buying signals. Watch for people showing need: engaging with posts on the problem you solve, with a competitor or with you, changing jobs, joining a company that raised money or is hiring. Then keep the ones who fit your buyer. What each signal means, and what to say, is in LinkedIn buying signals.
- Sequences. Send invitations, messages and follow-ups to the people you choose, paced so the account stays healthy. How fast is safe is its own question, covered in LinkedIn connection limits, and how FOUND paces them.
- Data extraction. Pull profiles, engagement and company data out of LinkedIn and other sites into a sheet or a workflow you build yourself.

Instead of a search, it starts from buying signals: it watches LinkedIn for people showing need, checks each one against your buyer and keeps the ones who fit, each with the reason they are there. Then it writes the first message from that reason, in your tone, and sends it from your own LinkedIn account and mailbox, paced from the first day.
- Finds people by
- Seven signal families: people engaging with posts on your topics, with experts in your market and with competitors' company pages; reactions to your posts and new followers; people like your best customers; job changes, recent funding and hiring; and companies using a tool. On a Premium or Sales Navigator account, people who viewed your profile.

- $69 a month, with two agents, one LinkedIn account, one mailbox and 100 credits a month, each one a verified work email or a company or contact from Ask.
- Pick it if

Questions
What is the best LinkedIn prospecting tool?
The one that does the job you are missing. With no list yet, a database such as Apollo or lemlist; with a list and no time, a sequencer such as Waalaxy or Dripify. For the people showing need right now, found and written to from your own account, FOUND, at $69 a month.
Do I need Sales Navigator to prospect on LinkedIn?
Not for FOUND: it works on the LinkedIn account you already have, and on a Premium or Sales Navigator account it also reads who viewed your profile, once a day. Several sequencers can work from Sales Navigator searches, among them Waalaxy, HeyReach and Linked Helper, and Dripify's daily quotas include 30 Sales Navigator InMails.
Can one tool find and message leads?
Yes. Some pair a database with sequences, such as lemlist, Skylead and Apollo; Valley starts from signals and writes the outreach. FOUND finds people from buying signals, checks each against your buyer, writes every message from why they were found and sends it from your own LinkedIn and mailbox.
